Rafael Azcona
Nacido en Logroño, el 24 de octubre de 1926, Rafael Azcona Fernández se inició como novelista y colaboró en sus primeros tiempos con revistas humorísticas de la época como "La Codorniz". Sin embargo, en 1959 trabajó como guionista en "El Pisito", de Marco Ferreri (director italiano con el que colaboraría en 15 películas), y ya no abandonaría el mundo del cine. Según sus palabras: "Escribo guiones porque me resulta más fácil que escribir novelas". Su obra, muy influida precisamente por el neorrealismo italiano, retrata el lado miserable de la vida cotidiana pero aportando un humor satírico del que se convirtió en auténtico maestro. Dijo: "Sin el humor habríamos desaparecido hace siglos". Murió en Madrid, el 24 de marzo de 2008.
